According to a social media post by Five Mile Post Speedway in New York, one of their drivers was involved in an accident. There were no major injuries.

The pick-up that was towing the trailer is on its roof. Two lanes of traffic were blocked.

“After racing Saturday night with us in the Street Stock division, Abe Romanik crashed into the back of his transporter on his way home,” the track said in a Facebook post. “This caused them to overturn their truck and trailer on its side. Fortunately, to our knowledge, there were no major injuries.

“We are very grateful to all the fans and teams who travel to and from our races. We wish Abe, his family and his crew all the best and are grateful that the situation has not been worse. “

We have no further information on the accident at this time. Romania finished last in the 20-lap Street Stock final on Saturday before exiting the track.

Depending on the damage to the trailer and truck, Romanik may be sidelined for a period of time while repairs are made.
