Chick-Fil-A is set to become the first building to open in downtown Orchard.

Chick-Fil-A will open its first Glen Carbon site in the downtown Orchard development. The site will cover nearly 5,000 square feet and will feature a two-lane drive-thru that can accommodate up to 50 vehicles at a time.

On October 2, the north wall of the area’s first Chick-Fil-A restaurant was erected. By Friday, more of the exterior had been set up. The restaurant will have a footprint of nearly 5,000 square feet with a two-lane drive-thru with capacity for 50 vehicles.

Besides Chick-Fil-A, confirmed stores are Club Car Wash (formerly Tidal Wave Car Wash) and Olive Garden, which surround the north entrance to Governors’ Parkway, and Meijer Grocery and Retail Store as a store flagship of the project.

Nine outlets and two or three junior anchor spaces remain unannounced.
