Revised schedules for remainder of ISL season revealed

The Indian Super League unveiled the revised fixture list for the current event on Wednesday, with organizers incorporating all matches that were postponed due to COVID-19 outbreaks last month into the schedule which starts on February 9.

ATK Mohun Bagan will face Jamshedpur FC in the final game of the regular season at PJN Stadium here on March 7, according to the revised schedule set by league organizers Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL).

“Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) today released the revised fixture list for 25 matches, starting from February 9, for the 2021-22 Hero Indian Super League (ISL) season. The League has incorporated the fixtures which were carried over to January in the redesigned schedule,” the ISL said in a statement.

There will be three additional doubleheaders, every Saturday (February 19, February 26 and March 5) to accommodate the five suspended matches.

This was due to several cases of COVID in the teams, the most affected being Kerala Blasters, ATK Mohun Bagan and Jamshedpur FC.

Over the last five weeks of the league season, several teams will fight for the top spot and the reward of representing India in the 2023 AFC Champions League.

The eighth season (2021-22) of the lucrative league kicked off on November 19 with ATK Mohun Bagan taking on Kerala Blasters.
