October 3 – Lafayette to Fordham
The Rams intimidated the Leopards in their Patriot League opener. Lafayette’s defense was unable to stop Fordham’s high-octane offense, allowing 524 total yards of attack. Second-year quarterback Blake Searfoss had 18 of 32 passes for 190 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Senior running back Ross Scheuerman was slowed down by the Fordham defense, rushing for just 39 yards and gaining 56 yards in the air.

The Leopards were led by rookie Art Griffin, who shot 74 and 75 to finish tied for 23rd overall. Second place for the Leopards was senior Kirk Massie, finishing tied for 35th after shooting a 75 and a 77 over a two-day span.
Men’s soccer (3-5-2, 0-2-0)
October 4 – Lafayette to Navy
Senior goaltender Sandy Leavy made two saves that day, but only needed to allow one goal to seal the victory for the Midshipmen. The Leopard offense totaled seven shots on goal, despite scoring.
Field hockey (5-7, 1-2)
October 4 – Lafayette in Sainte-Croix
The team managed to end a five-game losing streak by taking the Crusaders by a score of 2-0. Senior Kelsey Mead scored in the 33rd minute, while rookie Rosie Shanks scored in the 70th minute to secure the Leopards’ victory. Rookie Katelyn Arnold claimed her first win of the season in goals, making a save that day.
October 5 – Lafayette at n ° 10 Albany
The Leopards took a 1-0 lead after junior Kendall Weedling scored in the second minute of the game. The Great Danes have never looked back after scoring five unanswered goals to win the game. Despite allowing five goals, first-year goaltender Katelyn Arnold still managed to make eight saves that day.
Women’s football (4-7-0, 1-3-0)
October 1 – Lafayette vs. Lehigh
Senior Jaclyn Giordano scored in the 84th minute thanks to assists from juniors Allie Torru and Samantha Potoczak. However, the Leopards’ late push was not enough to catch up with their rival Mountain Hawks. Second-year goaltender Katherine Sedillo made four saves that day.
October 4 – Lafayette against Sainte-Croix
W, 3-2 2OT
The Leopards managed to beat the Crusaders in the 103rd minute thanks to a second-year goal from Kaelin King. Senior Alex Reisinger assisted on the play. Senior Jaclyn Giordano scored the game’s first goal in the 63rd and managed to push the game into overtime by scoring in the 84th minute.
Volleyball (4-13, 1-4)
October 1 – Lafayette vs. NJIT
The Leopards lost in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-19. Senior Danielle Towslee and rookie Elizabeth Walsh with eight Lafayette heads each kill. Junior Lauren Pisauro led the way in recoveries with 14.
October 4 – Lafayette to Bucknell
Lafayette lost in straight sets for the second straight game by scores of 25-16, 28-16 and 25-17. Sophomore Jet Manzi led the way in kills with seven, while junior Lauren Pisauro led the way in recoveries with 16.
